If I'm not near to you, feel free to get in touch — I’m happy to help you find a teacher closer to where you are. There’s a vibrant Alexander community across London and beyond, and I’m always glad to connect people with experienced teachers in their area.
Comfortable, casual clothing is ideal. Trousers or leggings work best so you can move freely.
Most lessons include a short period lying down, followed by a series of gentle, guided movements. Nothing strenuous is required. You’ll receive clear verbal guidance and light hands-on direction to help you release unnecessary tension and move with more ease.
A lesson takes approximately 45 minutes.
Many people notice changes quickly, but as a guide, it takes about 6–10 lessons to understand how the Technique is helping you and to start applying it day to day. Everyone is different — we’ll discuss a plan that suits your goals and pace.
Lessons are most often one-to-one. It can also be great fun to learn in a small group: you’ll benefit from shared experience and the variety of ways people respond to the Technique. If you’re interested in group sessions, let me know — or team up with friends for a cost-effective way to get to know what the AT is all about.
